Over a lifetime of stories shared by the beloved barnyard family, Mr. Harvey’s Barn quietly celebrated the unseen beauty of the neighboring river. With an unexpected transformation, silent dreams, wishes, and prayers finally come true.

The enchanted world of Mr. Harvey’s Barn comes to life with playful illustrations by Haley Hunt.

The collection of children’s books by Milkbarn showcases a first-ever series of coordinating apparel prints and hardback book illustrations. Our cover artwork of Mr. Harvey’s Barn matches our one-of-a-kind Homestead print seen in Milkbarn’s baby apparel and treasures.

Author Tina Yawn Seago writes quiet stories because her Tennessee farmhouse is noisy. Nestled between the banks of the Duck River and the bluffs of Bear Creek, Tina shares life with a bunch of beautiful kids, their very good papa, and plenty of pets and wildlife to fill a modern-day Noah’s ark.

Author, Tina Yawn Seago

Tina is a longtime member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and has won multiple awards for her picture book manuscripts, including Mr. Harvey’s Barn. She grew up in South Louisiana, where she battled mosquitos, built palmetto forts, devoured boiled crawfish, and married a boy named Mark.

Illustrator, Haley Hunt

Capturing a moment in time with a mixture of watercolor, gouache, and a touch of whimsy, Southern California artist and illustrator Haley Hunt brings to life the pages of Mr. Harvey’s Barn, one of seven children’s books illustrated for Milkbarn. For many years, Haley’s sketches and drawings have played an integral part in Milkbarn’s one-of-a-kind prints. Haley and her husband, Charlie, make their home along the shores of San Diego, where she enjoys surfing, walks along the beach, and experimenting in the kitchen.
